Chamaerops Humilis Vulcano has a more densely habitus then Chamaerops Humilis, with a comparable frost hardness (also about -10 bis -13 °C). Because of it's small size can be protected very easily in winter if needed. At the site of Pannonia Palmen KG since 2018 one Vulcano-dwarf palm was planted out. The first two winters it was protected, but only for only a few days in year. Until now, it hadn't any harm from winter.
