Chamaerops Humilis Cerifera is native to the Moroccan Atlas Mountains and gows a bit slower than Chamaerops Humilis. With about -15 °C it has the highest frost tolerance of dwarf palm family. So, it's a very good alternative for the pannoniaan climate. Like all dwarf palms it shall be protected from too much soil-wetness, otherwise, it's frost hardness 'drops down' rapidly. Some blue dwarf palms are planted since 2010 at the site of Pannonia Palmen KG. They were protected only very seldom until now and they hadn't any harm from frost until now.
