The big Butia-species (Butia Capitata, Butia Eriospatha, Butia Yatay) are beside Jubaea chilensis among the most frost-hardy feather-palms. Butia Eriospatha is a bit harder compared to Butia Eriospatha. It's frost tolerance is in the range of about -11 bis -13 °C. Consider: much soil-wetness means less frost-hardness, like with all other big Butia-varities.
