Brahea Edulis has a frost tolerance of around -6 to -8 °C. It is therefore significantly more sensitive to frost than, for example, Brahea Armata. As tests at the site of Pannonia Palmen have shown, with soil preparation and, if necessary, with appropriate winter protection, this palm can also survive the Pannonian winter well.
