Chamaerops humilis is a shrub-like palm native to southern Europe and North Africa with a frost hardiness of around -10 to -13 °C. Well-established plants can withstand slightly lower temperatures for a very short time. All Chamaerops species are sensitive to soil wetness, so good drainage is recommended.
