Palms and other mediterranean plants are not only beautiful!

Meanwhile some palm varieties can be planted out also in Central Europe. Mainly in the mildest regions of Central Europe like in the pannonian area they grow very well. More and more villages and communities also start to decorate their centres with exotic plants. In Bad Deutsch Altenburg and Neusiedl/See since a couple of years for example Trachycarpus, Olive trees, Albizia, Figs, Oleander and mediterranean Cypresses are planted out. Below some impressions can be seen. The same trend can be found in many private gardens now.

In the following links pictures from the growing of diverse winterhardy palms species from planting (2010 and earlier) up to 2025 can be seen. All photos are from the site of  Pannonia Palmen KG in Markthof (pannonian climate in Central Europe).
